Finally, after a full year of hardwork and full year of sacrificing our Saturdays just to attend classes at the Asian Institute of Management, last May 11, 2007, we received our diplomas in lavish program.
The official call time was 5PM. However, the ceremonies started at around 6pm. At that point, nobody knows who will be graduating with satisfaction, distinction. We still don't know the top 10 students.
The BPI contingent was seated on a table and are hoping that at least 1 rep will land in the top 10.
During the awarding of diplomas, it was revealed that Kim, Winston, and Jok are graduating with distinction. I was not called. My goodness! Our Administrator informed us that those who were not called are the top 10 students. What!!!!
To make the long story short, I was the last to be called. I can't believe it, I am the Class Valedictorian.
Our administrator announced that it is our Salutatorian who will be sent to the National Graduate Trust School, Northwestern University, Illinois to attend a special trust course. She is the only one in the Top 10 with no exam scores below 80. This also happened last year.
Sabi ng iba, sayang daw at hindi ako ang nakakuha ng Special Scholarship. My score kasi in the check-up exam for Transfer Agency and Other Trust Functions was less than 80% although my final exam score was 100%. Well ganun talaga, rules are rules. It's not meant for me. I'm happy because I am still the valedictorian. They can't take that away from me. I will forever be listed in the List of Valedictorian students. I thank the Lord for that.
After ceremonies, we had little kasiyahan. Nag-disco ang mga students and teachers. Swing, cha cha, boogie, foxtrot. Halos midnight na natapos ang kasayahan.
Once again congratulations to Jok, Winston, Kim and Karen. Good luck sa mga susunod na batch from BPI.
